I spent sometime playing with the Gain, but in the end it did not solve the problem. However I did find a an overall improvement in clarity on both ends.
I am still having the same problem. It seems as the SPA3102 or Asterisk is not sensing the disconnect tone right away. This also leads to two new problems I discovered today. 1. If a call is coming in and the caller terminates the call before the welcome message or while it is playing. The welcome message still plays fully and the line is held for about a minute after the message is completed. 2. While the line is held anyone that calls in hears this message "we are sorry but the number you have called is not in service" this message is coming from the SPA3102. I think I had that problem myself with the same setup. Also only efvery second/third incoming call got only to the Digital Receptionist - the rest were lost. Increasing the Gain on the 3102 for the PSTN line helped solving that issue. My problem is that after a call is disconnected my line is held for almost a minute before I can received a new call. I am not sure if this is because the SPA3102 is not detecting the *Disconnect Tone or maybe a problem with my asterisk, *** any ideas on this problem? or does anyone know what the disconnect tone should be for Bell Canada/Ontario/Toronto
