hi there, Can any body tell me about VAD " Voice Activity Detection" in asterisk.
Is it possible to configure configure VAD in asterisk configuration. Or is there any other terminology is use in asterisk then please let me know that. I mean to say in sip.conf or any other file in which i can configure VAD so that i can suppress 35 % of no voice in conversation. In this way i want to save my bandwidth so that my call will consume less bandwidth. Please let me know if i am thinking in in a wrong direction. My main goal is to save bandwidth. i am using G729a codec. i am using asterisk 1.2.12. all the guidance will be appreciated . Best regards, Nishith Patel.
