Pick up delay in asterisk

Hi,

My Bell line is coming into my Asterisk thru a FXS port.  I noticed when a call 
comes in from the Bell line, there is a delay of approximately one ring before 
the IP phones ring.  So, the caller may hear say 4 rings but my IP phones 
actually ring 3 times.  Does anyone know how I can remove this 1 ring delay 
asummung it is configurable in zapata.conf or somewhere else?
