This is going to sound like overkill for a home office or small business
but if you need bandwidth, power, traffic shaping and the ability to
build an infrastructure using wireless then I would used Locustworld.com
OS and either a wrap board, mini-itx, or old intel board with 64-128
megs of ram. The features including everything you would want in router
and gateway. To say this router/gateway would be correct but it is more
in the category of wireless mesh. I know a few people worldwide that
use these as gateway and routers and if you can get over the centralized
administration using a website then life is grand.

I hope it puts it into perspective.

Subject: [on-asterisk] Consumer Class Router/Gateway recommendations.

Few days ago I posted my disappointment on the WRT54-GC router,
following
which I got some amazing feedback on the WRT54-GL and others.

Now what I would like is if any (or ALL) of you could share the make and

model of your consumer class router/gateway that may or may not have a
DSL/Cable modem built in -- that you are currently using at your home or

home office or a small office, that has been working WELL with your VoIP

system.

To be more specific, I'm targeting the gateway/routers in the $150 price

range or less and with QoS available.

Thanks!
