Graham,

I think this is the process you should follow to get it work:
First, you need to load the x100p card, and to do so, you can try:
modprobe zaptel    --this will turn the zaptel module on.

Then, you need to turn on the module wcfxo, but it needs the zaptel.conf file. The problem is that that file maybe is not in your system, astlinux comes with a symlink to the /tmp/.../zaptel.conf
So, you will need to edit the file, with this: vi /etc/zaptel.conf and configure one fxo like this: fxs_ks=1 . Note: this file will be erase when you reboot the system.

Then, you should be able to load the wcfxo module with this:
modprobe wcfxo

You can use tools like this: ztcfg -vvv and zttool

Then, just make the configuration of the zapata.conf with one fxo, and you will be ready to run asterisk -gcvvvv

Also there's an option inside the rc.conf, that will ask you wich modules you want to load with the zaptel, you can try enabling wcfxo, and then you will be able to run service zaptel start, wich is easier.

Subject: [Astlinux-users] X100p Install

Just got an x100p card today to play with.  Only thing is I am having some troubles getting it to work.  Probably just me being stupid and not knowing much about Linux.

Anyway.  I installed card in machine and did a fresh install (disk drive had been flattened using fdisk first).  Edited the zapata.conf setting the channel and the such, made a simple dial plan in extensions, added load => chan_zap.so to the modules.conf file (not sure if this is needed) and tried to change the zaptel.conf file.  Rebooted and nothing seemed to work.  I did notice the zaptel.conf file was again empty so I tried remounting as rw, edited file and rebooted but still didn't work.

After a quick browse I found a few posts saying you need to do some modprobes first and then ztcfg.  Is this correct?
When I tried this the modprobe wcfxo reported a wildfire x100 but ztcfg could not find the zaptel.conf file.

Does anybody have a dumb users guide to installing this or am I going in the right direction.

Any help would be appreciated.

Graham.
