I think Peter is right.

One may configure a soekris board either as a
dedicated router or as an asterisk server but not both
on the same machine. I asked about it the producer and
they simply offered me to buy the expansion Lan card
to get it with ports to the same lan. However, in case
you need it as a lan too, it is cheaper to buy an
external router or switch and connect it either to
eth1 or eth2.

For SIP connection only (And connection to the
asterisk server) you don't have to be on the same
network. As long as you can register with the asterisk
server's address you may use both eth ports for SIP
extensions.
