Hmmm ... you might try fresh boot media on the assumption that maybe some odd system file or other has become corrupted ... In theory this should be pretty easy to do and if it solves the problem you probably would not care why, just that it worked ...
Frankly, other than a mechanical problem or some kind of corruption of the os, I would be at a loss ... I have seen periodic reboots before but they have always turned out to be some kind of mechanical issue, either a bad video card or even a bad hard drive cable ... But your Soekris board is so simple, that its hard to imagine this being the problem ... Maybe one the brainiacs have a clue ...
