I'm using Soekris net-4801 for a certain application for which I need a direct connection of ATA/IP Phone to the appliance in router mode. I've connected several IP Phones and Chinese made ATAs but I need to connect a Linksys PAP2 ATA (Without a built-in router) and it is not recognized by the network. Neither direct cat5 cable nor crossover seems to work. I don't get the eth led on either eth1 or eth2. I can connect it via a switch but for that specific application I really need a direct connection. Any idea what to do? Did anyone encountered such a problem?
