Matt, Good to see you here. > And, (yes I know I shouldn't start a sentence with and) I'm in the > process of compiling a new image. > > I did the compile straight clean (i.e. make oldconfig) > > Couple of things along the way: > > 1. Compilation failed at net-snmp (removed and now works) What did you settle on for the hostOS? 32bit or 64bit? net-snmp should build just fine. I'll re-test it in a few minutes on a different system. I did make some changes in there today. > 2. Oslec - Once I removed the net-snmp and tried to recompile, it > stopped at oslec because the patches had already been applied. Some changes are needed to get it to compile on a 64bit hostOS and I'm not convinced that it's solid enough to just drop in without additional testing. There are some changes needed to the package though since that patching shouldn't be happening once it's been done. Perhaps we need to touch a dummy file so that it know's it's already been patched. > 3. What's the current state of mISDN support? We really have no way of testing this in the US, but others have successfully used this. I don't know where the rumors are coming from about problems with zaptel related hardware and Astlinux. > 4. Any HPEC support available? Not currently. Kris really doesn't use analog hardware and I almost always recommend the Rhino analog hardware with the built-in echo can so the we (developers) haven't seen it as a high priority. You're actually the first person to request it (although we have had several requests for oslec (I believe the oslec support for mISDN is there by default and optional for general zaptel use). We are pretty much at a feature freeze in trunk at the moment until we branch 0.6.
