Just to clarify: I tried NODHCP before I even found out about the
dnsmasq.conf method. I'll double-check tomorrow by removing
dnsmasq.conf from /mnt/kd and setting NODHCP, but I'm moderately
confident that when I witnessed NODHCP failing to work, it was before
I had copied dnsmasq.conf to the keydisk.

Probably misremembering, though...
