Astlinux does not use swap. Swapping to flash memory would be brutal on flash (and on system performance). There's really no reason to store static voice files in a ramdisk. There may be a performance improvement, but I haven't seen a case where voice playback was hindered by reading from flash. There also is no damaged caused to the flash media for reads (only writes). I would have the same concerns about the processor.
