Like I suggested, Try HTTP and see if that works, ie

The Prefs tab has an option to specify how the FOP2 link in the web interface 
is created ->  External FOP2 Link: __ Use HTTPS

I suspect that will work.

If you want HTTPS to work for FOP2 then look here...

Finally, if you are accessing FOP2 via the external interface, then you must 
allow, Pass EXT->Local TCP Port 4445 in addition to Port 80 or 443 for 
HTTP/HTTPS.  Note: If you are connecting via a VPN or a local interface do not 
add any extra firewall rules.
