Thanks for your detailed report.

There should not be a problem upgrading both RUNNIX and the Firmware, one after 
the other, with a single reboot.

I could not reproduce your problem, I added "rootdelay=10" to a 1.2.6.1 
install, and upgraded to 1.2.7, the "rootdelay=10" was automatically added to 
the 1.2.7 .run.conf file.

One difference is AstLinux 1.2.7 added support for USB 3.0 in the kernel 
(xhci_hcd) but I doubt your previous USB 2.0 mounted drive worked without 
"rootdelay=10".

Anyway, thanks much for reporting what you experienced.  Glad you got it 
working again.
