Are you just running hostapd? Because you also need provide tcp/ip
networking, ie, some kind of dhcp server, and appropriate firewall
rules for NAT, DNS, and forwarding.
This can be done manually using iptables, dnsmasq. But I use the
firestarter firewall package, and dhcp3-server. Firestarter provided a
rather gui friendly interface for all this. Just make sure to set the
gateway address bring up your AP nick before starting firestarter.
