There are of course other screen readers besides jaws, though many who do training seem to prefer it for some reason. Actually, NVDA is a free screen reader that works very well, so there is little if any reason to purchase expensive screen readers anymore.

a hard time using it.

It's useable, but very different, and, in my opinion, not
as intuitive.
I would suggest getting a mac computer. It has the screen
reader built
in and behaves more like a computer with a classic windows
interface.

I know this is probably already been answered but at the
time I wasn't
interested in knowing; however, now I do need to know
from someone who
has used the program. We are going to need to get a new
computer; the
one that we are now using is on it's last legs. What I
want to know is
does Windows 8 truly work for a totally blind person? I
know from what
I have heard that it is different from Windows 7. But can
you learned?
Can you use it like you would Windows 7? Any feedback
Will be greatly
appreciated!
