As far as I can tell, there is no such problem. The most popular web servers (Apache/moddav, IIS) implement WebDAV, and clients are available for Windows/Linux/OS-X. Occasionally we hear of people having trouble with broken proxies, but as far as I can tell, this is really rare nowadays.
