I have a CentOS base (5.4) that was running kernel 2.6.18-164.10.1.el5.centos.plus x86_64 SMP.
I recently added an nvidia 9500 video card and when I dl'd the nvidia-graphics package it pulled nvidia-graphics190.53-kmdl-2.6.18-164.11.1.el5.centos.plus along with kernel 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5.centos.plus. When I reboot, my 2 pvr150s are not in dev. They show up in lspci, they show up in the machines bios, but /dev/video0 and /dev/video1 do not show up. When I downgrade back to 2.6.18-164.10.1.el5.centos.plus kernel and reboot, video0 and video1 come back. The problem I am running into now is that I cannot get the nvidia kmdl for kernel 2.6.18-164.10.1.el5.centos.plus and such cannot use the new card. Any ideas of how to proceed troubleshooting this?
