man, you are going through a lot of trouble to build a $35 router.  :)

if you have your heart set on the atv as you router/access point, 
consider a usb wifi adapter.

myself, I'd just buy a router. you can still use the atv as a server.  
let some cheap piece of networking gear do what it was designed to do.
