About .po files: The latest es.po can be found here: https://github.com/audacity/audacity/blob/master/locale/es.po. This version contains all the latest strings to translate. There is also a template file (.pot instead of .po) that you can use to import new English strings into your es.po file: https://github.com/audacity/audacity/blob/master/locale/audacity.pot. This template file is updated every time a new Audacity version is coming out. You can download both files using the "raw" button in the top right corner on Github. When working with multiple translators, it could be easier to use an online translation tool like Transifex. An unofficial Transifex project was created to make it easier for translators to work together: https://www.transifex.com/klyok/audacity/ I'm a co-manager for this project, and I made a web page that contains some more information: https://sites.google.com/site/rockytdrontransifex/audacity Note that I only allow new languages on the Transifex project when the "main translator" of a language agrees. Than you can ask them directly about what needs to be done and how can you help. PO files are simple texts files that we use to enable multiple languages in a software. You will need an editor, like POEdit. It's quite easy to understand how it works, the English sentence on the top window and you type the Spanish version in the bottom window. Take one of the PO files that we are sending here on the list and use POEdit to play out with this type of file.
