Re: New IPhone september 16 2016
I truely believe that every reason apple gave for the removal of an open non patented connection standard was complete bull. We already have several phone makers squeezing quad and octa core CPUs, large power cels, complex camera modules, fingerprint scanners, iris scanners, quad HD screens, stereo speakers and haptic feedback engines into their devices while keeping the headphone jack. They are doing this and achieveing higher water resistance ratings than the iPhone 7. So apple has nothing really. They want to force people down the root of Proprietary connections, both wired and wireless and realised that they wouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell of achieveing this with such an open and compatible connection existing on their devices.
Another thing to ponder. Everyone and their mother buy and start using air pods. Suddenly, every train carage, bus or plain cabin becomes a hot bed of 2.4 GHZ interfearence. I could see it happening I suppose, The convert er adapter is a cute idea, right up til your on your third one because you keep loozing/breaking adapters and your sick of the entire thing so you end up buying the most convenient thing that can still be used with anything with a bluetooth connection. Oh boy oh boy... Isn't the future exciting?
