But hey, might as well throw my two cents in as well right? :-)
JFW has many more features than NVDA, (many of which are hidden until needed) that's a fact, and I think it's crazy that people are saying the opposite, because it's just inherently the truth no matter what you think about the companies involved, or the screen readers them selves.
That's why people that have the means almost always end up using Jaws for jobs and university, even if they may still use NVDA at home, because it has better support for major, standardized programs in a variety of different fields, while NVDA is still catching up, with multiple additions to basic support for the most obvious stuff like Excel and Word every update.
I think what people are meaning to say is that from day to day, with normal usage, they are essentially equal, which is pretty much true.

Not sure what the problem is, just use the skip to navigation and skip to main content links at the top of most pages, the shortcut keys like h for heading k for link and e for edit box just like normal (with shift if you want to go to the previous one) and Capslock F7 for a list of elements just like Jaws.
You can also filter out most unwanted elements like frames and such through preferences, which is way, way faster than using the settings center (shutter).
You can skip to landmarks too, and their are jump to line and hot spot add-ons as well.
Some of those features you mentioned do sound nice, but I wonder how many Jaws users even know about them?
