I'm not saying there's any truth to the comspiracy theories right /now/
But there have absolutely been cases where conspiracy theories turned out, years or decades later, to be 100% accurate and true. So who is to say that in 20, no, 50 years, there may well be documents or revalations that give credence to some or all of the theories.
However what's more likely is that the majority of theories aren't even close.
@2: Yes. yes hthey would. For the US look up Operation Northwoods, I instantly thought of that when I read your post, that's the most blatant example that leaps to mind. Or, well, name most things Stalin did to increase his grip on things as well, quite literally murdering his own people. Or, go back a few thousand years, Genghis Khan, Alexander the Great, Xerxes...
