Re: New Infinite Apocalpytic Procedural Ascii Game "The Wastes"
@Dark;
No need to apologize, your help was appreciated. I really wanted to play this game as I've always been a fan of dystopic themes, and a post apocolyptic world certainly qualifies as one. However, besides blindness, I also have hearing loss due to tinitus or ringing in the ears, so not all audio games will work for me, especially if they don't allow me to adjust the volume of various elements. With this game, it was just all the hurdles being put in my way that finally broke the camel's back and forced me to walk away. It was very frustrating.
Especially when the developer comes right out and says he can't or won't do anything to help.
@wastelander;
That's fine if you can't help, most sighted developers aren't motivated to do anything to make their games accessible to people with handicaps, so you're not alone.
The only thing I can do at this point is to make my voice heard by boycotting you and your s oftware and to recommend that others do the same if they care about equal access for all.
And before anyone decides to call this an attack, it's not intended to be one. It's merely me voicing my frustration and opinion, whether you accept or reject it is up to you.
