That is not the case. Flac is a lossless format - no information is lost. If you encode a .wav file to .flac and then decode the .flac file back to .wav, the decoded .wav will be identical to the original one. As Malcolm has said, if you really *can* hear a difference between .flac and .wav and your system is setup correctly then a lot of folk will be interested. However, I suspect there is more likely something not quite right with your setup which is causing this. Tell us a little more about your setup. What SB do you have? Wireless? Do you have bandwidth limiting on? A copy of your convert.conf might be useful too.
