Here's a few settings to check. I shall assume you're using the Default skin in slimserver. GO to the Slimserver homepage Under "Settings", click on "Player Settings for <your player name>" Click on the "Audio" link towards the top of the page. Scroll down and make sure "Bitrate Limiting" is set to "No limit" Go back to the Slimserver homepage Again under settings, click "Server Settings" Click on the "File Types" link towards the top of the page Can you tell us what is checked on that page? (Copy and paste it into your reply). Going back to your original message, what exactly was the sequence of events that led you to believe that .wav sounds better than .flac?
