Hi,

'how is it possible to hear parts in music played on a CD or Wav not present
on the Flac'

You're right it isn't, BUT (and this is an enormous BUT!!) the FLAC once
decoded (which happens in your Squeezebox) is a perfect copy of the CD
digital data.

Now I agree that there are plenty of arguments why an analogue recording
could be different to its digital version on CD, and the nuances etc all
form part of the argument.

This information is lost when the CD is mastered to a 16bit 44.1Khz WAV.
>From that point on FLAC is perfectly representing the data (which is the
same as the WAV file).

So FLAC is perfectly representing the CD, but the CD may not be a perfect
representation of the original.

Following up on bandwidth limiting (which may be the root of your problem).
Since sending large streams of data over a network can overload some
networks SlimServer has a feature that will compress audio data further to
make it fit in a predefined level. If you enable this feature then it is
most likely that SlimServer will identify your FLAC as being 'large' and so
attempt to compress the data further (to MP3 for instance). This will most
definitely impact the sound.

To check this you need to go

Home / Player Settings / Audio

And make sure 'Bitrate Limiting' is set to No Limit.
