Since solid-state electronic "break-in" is completely unquantifiable, and whatever positive effects experienced as a result thereof, locked within the impenetrable mind of the true audiophile, I offer the suggestion that perhaps what is being heard is the audiophile's mind slowly justifying throwing another pile of cash at one's hobby, rather than toward one's child's college education.
