Have you tried plugging the SB3 into the same power strip/outlet that
the rest of your gear is powered from? If not, that may cure it.
The SB3 only uses 10-12 watts, so you can also safely plug it into
powered outlets on your stereo gear (if any)

Occasionally, I'll watch movies I've downloaded in AVI/WMV format via
my laptop computer's video and audio outputs. I can cause an audible
hum if I plug my laptop's power supply into a DIFFERENT outlet.

And yes, the SB3 DOES generate some radio frequencies. It's worse
when it's trying to connect to a webradio station that's offline. I
know, because if I'm standing near it, my Fire Department radio belt
pager starts broadcasting static noise. But it's not low frequency at
all.

And for that matter, my SB3 sits directly atop my McIntosh 2205 power
amplifier. I've never heard any hum or any extraneous noise on my
system as a result of the SB3 being connected (except the dreaded White
Noise of Death, but that's something else entirely)
