After ripping AC/DC remastered, I can testify to the fact that even FLAC can't make some albums sound good.
I rip FLAC normally, but only have around 150 albums. I've deleted the albums that were dodgy, including AC/DC, so they don't come up in random play mode. So... Option One: Sell your dodgy albums, buy better music, rip to all FLAC. Option Two: Rip decent albums to FLAC, rip others to .wma, but tag them as such, so the checkbox for 'wma' files can be deselected to exclude them from random play mode.
