Wow..this is good to know (because of my regard for steve @EA). I guess
even after some mods, the SB3 may not beat some transports, for all of
the the mods I know of (Bolder, Red Wine) none of them deal with
changing the clock into a much more accurate one. (I can live with
this, because I dont want to spend the big bucks for the cutting edge,
I just want to be there 'somewhere in the ballpark').
BTW, with the Oracle or Northstart, does a CD polish (like Walker Vivid
or whatever) or a mat make a difference ? If yes, it is so so weird !!!
The Squeezebox frees me from all this annoying tweaks. I could never be
sure that I am getting the best playback (did I polish, do I have to do
it again, did I forget to put the mat one..etc).

(Right now breaking in a Bolder Elpac power supply, will spring for the
digital mods soon)
