Thats a very good theory! The TacT's inputs are relay-swithed, but the circuit traces and ribbon cable could potentially couple into its neighbouring traces/wires before the relays. I'll just make up some input shorteners from some of the male RCA's that I have here. No need to pay for that kind of stuff.
