This brings to mind a car a few years ago (I forget which one - was it
a Mercedes?) which was released to the market with much pazazz ... only
to be scuppered by a scandinavian magazines 'elk test'.  The elk test
was supposed to simulate the effects of sharply swerving to avoid an
elk in the middle of the road, and this particular car consistently
turned over whilst attempting the manouever!

I guess they measured everything and just forgot about the elks ...
