I didn't say his opinion was idiotic, I said his statement was idiotic and I stand by that. That any difference one hears will necessarily be in ones head is an idiotic thing to say. He is entitled to that opinion , but he should have qualified it as his opinion, not a statement of fact. Has he done a blind test of a power supply? Does he have years of ear training?. He can't know the particular situation or the hearing acuity of the individual involved. A scientist(and both my nephews are PHD's in molecular biology and support this) looks to explain observable phenomena and doesn't de facto rule out a possibility. To assume the difference is in one's head is as much a mistake as to assume the difference is in the gear. Hence the blind test. I didn't take the bait on the TP burn in thread but Tylers post on this thread was the proverbial straw.
