Tyler did not seem rude. Nor was his statement in any way "idiotic". And he may be correct as well - in spite of your attack, and the pride you have in your very special ear training. If you did the tests you claim, it could simply show that you have very poor AC power quality/delivery in your listening room. In any event, you should quality your own statements too then, every single time, as just being your own opinion and nothing more. Saying that somebody needs 25 years of super-duper ear training in order to reach your awesome elite etc etc self-description, before they can have a right to an opinion too, perhaps makes you look foolish and not very credible at all.
