I don't think you can prove that. How do you account for 2 people identifying the difference blind with such accuracy, one, a recording engineer, the other a musician. The differences were that obvious. I have failed other blind tests where I thought there were subtle differences, the most recent being digital cable. That would not cause me to say there are no differences in cables but I feel I can say I couldn't hear a difference in those particular cables and that leds me to be very skeptical about digital cables. I'm glad I don't hear a difference, it saves me money.
Or my thread on TP burn in. I was open to all sides of that debate. I still think my TP is improving with time but I am completely open to the idea that it's me, not the TP. In the next few weeks I might have a new, in the box TP here to AB for the fun of it. I will have some people over to blind AB. I have no problem if I fail that test saying that the burn in effect was in my mind. But if I and others pass the test I will feel pretty secure in saying there is a burn in effect for the TP. Seems reasonable to me.Does that sound reasonable to you? Atheism is as much an act of faith as Theism. One can neither prove nor disprove the existence of a deity. The only purely rational viewpoint is agnosticism........Onecannot rationally know, therefore One neither denies nor affirms the existence of a deity (Camus, Myth of Sisyphus) This is not to dis theists or atheists, many consider an act of faith a beautiful thing. However I have no interest in acts of faith in audio. So for fun, how about this analogy: Atheists =Objectivists Theists =Subjectivists Agnostics = Unitarians :-) BTW my ego is not bruised and I really, I mean, really don't want want you to the gun test, not even blind, or blinfolded as the case may be. -- tomjtx ------------------------------------------------------------------------ tomjtx's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7449 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29058 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
