Funny you should mention before/after measurements. I haven't gotten around to it yet (even though I told Inguz I would). I'll try to get around to it soon. It'd be pretty neat if we could get a library of before/after sweeps :) I've heard about the corners, as well. First reflection points are also important. Never heard of 8th nerve. Ethan Winer is pretty famous wrt this stuff. I think his commercial website is: http://realtraps.com/ (I think Patrick Farrell mentioned him earlier). There is also GIK Acoustics: http://www.gikacoustics.com/ My eyes were opened to the importance of the room, as well (I was already careful about placement away from walls, etc). It's one thing to think it's true because people you trust tell you and the physics says it's so, and it's another to actually experience it! :) -- totoro squeezebox 3 -> mccormack dna .5 -> audio physic tempo 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ totoro's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=5935 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=30031 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
