Thank you both - although I had reinstalled the tools I hadn't reinstalled the DSP part. I've now put that in C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread and flac files play as they should !
The audio level with any of the correction modes enabled is substantially less than the same track with 'none' set, about 10dB difference. Turning it up on the amp does the trick, is this to be expected ? And finally, some old mp3 files ripped before I started using flac don't play, it looks as if lame/InguzDSP isn't there (presumably because lame isn't there to start with - I've never explicitly installed that, and without the plugin the built-in processor handles those). Do I need a separate lame install ?
