So your basing your entire argument on an entirely circumstancial observation by a forum member? Has Havoc been measuring SRAMs for years? Or will you acknowledge that bit erros happen, and its entirely application specific what effect they have? Show me where I have claimed single bit erros cause utter audio quality havoc - quite the contrary. My entire point was that just because something is ripped on a PC -or ripped to a PC utterly free of errors with multiple checks- does not mean it's henceforth bit perfect in reproduction forever, and that there are elements in the chain that may cause occasional bit errors - just like in the audio system malinged in this thread. And again, my one question was about ripping issues, and how real they are. I was asking because I don't know the facts there, and there is not information from unbiased sources that I seem to be able to find. I have not once found a problem - but that is circumstancial, and I'd like more background information if there's any. -- pablolie ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pablolie's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3816 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=32993 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
