Did you try the obvious and use it wired? Just for problem isolation, even if the WAF won't allow it. > Transporter. Problem is that I can't listen to it before I buy, and > there are none in the UK. And new SB3 are $230 right now, which is only about £150 at fair exchange rates. > How happy are TP owners now? I'm happy. I am using it instead of my SB+Benchmark DAC-1. It has better WAF. > Do we actually think the TP will go up in price in the UK? I never understood UK prices. Lots of things cost as much in pounds sterling as dollars, which is insane, the pound is worth much more than the dollar. Shipping is just not that much. Your VAT, etc. are steep, but not that steep. > Is a Switzerland purchase genuinely bonkers? I don't think so, I would not buy it without listening. Altho I would want to listen in my living room with my speakers and amp and room acoustics. Just pop over the pond, fly into Washington Dulles airport, buy me a pint and listen to mine in my living room. I'm only a half hour taxi from the airport. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
