Well... At first I just wanted an enclosure to match the rest of my stuff. Obviously the SB3 would not be an option because of the form factor.
The SB2 lends itself quite easily to custom applications, so I got myself one. Now, even though my current setup is musically satisfying, I figured why not go the extra mile and do some improvements on the circuit as well. I love my Lite Audio DAC60, but according to some, modifying the analog section of the SB can yield excellent results. So much, that an outboard DAC may not be needed... The digital mods are also quite interesting. I particularly like the addition of a 1:1 transformer in the SP/DIF output as done by fellow member Gary.
