To opaqueice: I'm aware of the Inguz gain adjustment. I'm comparing inverted polarity to no correction. According to my Behringer DCX, and its time alignment procedure, all drivers have the same polarity. Imaging things you said, ok I will measure but around 6 dB can not be missed by ear. You remember the 15 firmware a lot of people said it sounded different (they said better but better means often just louder). Did you try it?
If one group of drivers was inverted the sound would became unbalanced but it isn't, just louder (volume on the SB have to be lowered from 95 to 80). The change occurs for all drivers. If not, then either you're imagining things or something else in Inguz/SS/preamp is boosting the level. I'm playing music that' all. Distortion: Altec woofers and horns, slot tweeter, no distortion there. Signal goes from SB to DCX and the amps, analogue volume control after the DCX quite normal. You suggest inversing wires but the inverted polarity does exactly that isn't it? To mswlogo: how do you check phase with a meter, voltage polarity? Send a signal and measure AC voltages? To be sure I will measure the levels with pink noise.
