Am I understanding this correctly - you get a 6dB gain shift when inverting polarity?
The only way I can imagine this could happen (assuming the Inguz is ONLY inverting polarity) in a tri-amped active system is if you have inadvertantly inverted the polarity of (both of) the midrange drivers so they are out of phase with the treble and bass. Depending on the crossover slopes being shallow, you would get odd cancellation/reinforcement effects around the crossover regions...mind you, having gone through that thought process I now realise that inverting the polarity of the whole signal before the x-over would still leave you out-of-phase so to speak. There is a (rather tedious) way to see what is going on. Listen to the Inguz 6dB boost version/polarity inversion, turn everything off and flip the polarity of all (6) of your speaker cables...does the boost disappear? If so I have no idea what is going on - my guess is that the boost will still be there (thus proving that absolute polarity cannot affect gain as we know) and that the software is really applying the boost somehow.
