I did it! I performed a Fisher like a to b comparison of the sb3 against the tp only using rca connection to a Marantz pm-11s1 and dali helicon 400 speakers. Test setup: both devices where connected via cheap rca cables about a meter long. Source switching was conducted by my girl friend (who is as good as a blind experimentator). The two players where synced and volumes where matched via the Slimserver. No apparent differences in volume where audible as it is the case with xlr vs rca connection of the tp. I was listening repeatedly to VERY WELL known peaces of music I own and had heard on both devices prior to testing. I did a sequential test until I reached signfficant recognition rates at a .0531% chance for errors of the first kint. That means that if one was to repeat the same experiment 20 times one would have one failure amongst 19 hits. That being said I must say that the differences where minor. -- jaysung ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jaysung's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=12375 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38653 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
