You can use a TACT with a transporter in several ways: 1) digital out from TP into TACT, DAC card in TACT to amp 2) digital out from TP into TACT - external DAC to amp 3) TP analogue out into TACT ADC+ DAC card in TACT to amp 4) TP analogue out into TACT ADC - external DAC to amp
To me options 1 or 2 make sense. There is nothing different about the SB or TP in this regard. Of course, one of the main reasons for buying a TP is its DAC... Now if only they could make the digital loop work on the TP, you could have an option 5 which is: TP - TACT - TP DAC - Amp. I might even buy a TP! -- Phil Leigh You want to see the signal path BEFORE it gets onto a CD/vinyl...it ain't what you'd call minimal... ...SB3+TACT+Altmann+MF DACXV3/Linn tri-amped Aktiv 5.1 system and some very expensive cables ;o) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Phil Leigh's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=85 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=39124 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
