There probably isn't much point in posting here, as this has appeared in other forums, but I haven't read a good answer yet. So, here is the question:
I have a SB3 connected to a TacT M/S 2150 XDM vial digital coax. The SB3 is connected via ethernet to my router and the computer is not far away. No drop-outs. System is Apple: computer, AAC files, etc. Thing is, with some -- not many at all, but some -- albums I get pops or crackles between tracks. What gives, really, and in simple language? Also, switching to optical is not optional, because my Airport Express (not my main Airport Extreme) player uses the optical connection. Yes, sometimes I prefer flipping through iTunes rather than using the SB3 interface.
