I have a low-noise linear psu for the SB at the moment, and just having that plugged in affects my system. It may be that a DAC would improve the sound (I'd certainly hope so) but unless I can find a PSU that doesn't affect my system, I think a DAC would be a waste of money. To be honest, the only power solutions I've heard are the ReCoil + ReFlex (http://www.musicworks-hifi.com/) that I've already mentioned. My current solution is OK but it's not worth spending more unless the SB can be sorted. The difference was staggering, but at the moment it's a waste of money. I play only EAC-ripped FLAC, played at 100% volume.
