In between my ex rega saturn and the transporter, I had in demo a Stello
DA220 Mk II connected to my mac mini via USB. The transporter was simply
superior than the Stello and the saturn. Compared to the coaxial input
in the Stello, the USB sound had noticeably less resolution and an
annoying "digital" rendering. Thats why im with the Transporter. The
argument that Sean gives is why.... I think there are very few or none
devices that generate and clock the signal locally, and this means
almost no jitter but most importantly superior sound.
