I have only found one unit in the world that serves as a fully digital front end with 3-way digital x-over and fully balanced outputs - IN ONE BOX... and that also may server as a preamp...
The Aussie deqx pre, which is about $10k around where I live. It doesn't necessarily have to be that expensive How about a modular output section where you can start with just the single analog out, and possibly add more modules, X-over or something else.... In this sense a Transporter could serve as one unit that does everything in a fully active system, and you only have to add poweramps..... I'm sure the slim guys may do wonders in this area?
