Sean, I'm playing a cd right now using the firmware - that works! I have the rca spdif input selected and no problem. I did the xilinx reprogram on start up also. When I scrolled left to the firmware, it was fine. I then powered off and tried the digital input from the software? menu and the same thing - no music and loud pops and chirps and noise when the volume is moved. I hope this is helping solve the problem. At least I have a way of playing a cd with my transport. Let me know what you think. Bill
