Thank you all for your advices. For instance, right now, all is MP3 VBR. And I plan to buy more online music then CDs. Therefore, no lossless (don't think we will find lossless at Amazon MP3 when available in europe :-) )
About the setup, for now, none. Ho yeah... A vague entry yamaha AVR. But I expect to buy something better soon. I'm looking for some good PMC, JMLab or JMR speakers (budget ~ 2500$) and then I'll buy an adequat integrated amplifier. It has a uPNP and an iTunes servers so far. However I'm in contact with Zyxel for them to add SqueezeCenter to the next firmware release. I have downloaded the soft yet, and it is great. Even without the Squeezebox it is amazing, as based on a web server, and allowing distant streaming over MP3... So. I think I'll go for the Squeezebox 3 at 1st, and I might add a DAC later, or I buy an integrated with DAC... I'll see later.... Or... I buy the Transporter for the look, and thinking to go back to CDs and therefore lossless encoding later.... Ho gosh, I don't know :-D I must say the transporter is so nice :-) I wish they could make a squeezebox with the same form factor... -- Superkikim ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Superkikim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=16821 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=46186 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
